I will get save tomorrow......I am not ready yet

While you go through life enjoying the pleasures of this world, have you ever thought about were you will end up for eternity. You feel like there is plenty of time to enjoy life and seek the Lord later. But is that true? Who are you to know how long you have to live. Today may be your last day. Tomorrow is not promise unto any man.

Many people choose partying, sex, drinking, smoking, and every other worldly pleasure above the Lord. The Lord may exist at the bottom of their list. Some may not even have Him on the list at all.

But yet when something goes wrong you run to the Lord for help or you blame Him for not “being there” when you wanted Him to be. Who are you to argue with Him for not showing up on your time when you never showed up for Him? Although you may feel like He is not there or he doesn’t act in the way or timeframe you want Him to. He is always there and on time. If it wasn’t for Him your life would be worst off. You are alive today because of Him.

When you are out there getting drunk and smoking blunts or cigarettes thinking everything is alright, God was there protecting you. Even when the Lord knocks at your heart door for you to let him in, you just added more locks to the door of your heart and ignore His call.

You know that the things you are doing will only last for a short time. They have no value in your life, and they can not save you. Jesus put on flesh and came to this earth to give sinners an opportunity to be with Him again. If he didn’t care or love you, He wouldn’t have done it. No one forced Him to do it. He did it willingly.

You may think I am too much of a sinner for Jesus to ever want me. That is not true. He came that ALL sinners might be save. He wants you to come back to Him. There is no sin so great that God can’t forgive. He doesn’t care if you are a murderer, a drunk, a smoker, a person that is addicted to sexual lust or any other addictions you might have in your life. He can help you to overcome all the addictions and make you clean. If there is hatred, jealous, envy, malice, and all other uncleanness within He can help you to get rid of them. There is nothing too hard for Jesus to do. Stop limiting God’s ability. He has no boundaries. He specializes in things that we think are impossible.

Jesus is willing to help you all He needs is for you to trust Him. Turning away from all the unrighteous things you use to do will be hard but it is not impossible. If you really want to get over them trust God. If you trying to restore your life and the cravings start to attract you, pray to the Lord for strength. Keep your mind on the Lord. Try not to put yourself in situations that will increase the amount of temptations. If you know that going to a certain place or being with certain people will cause you to drink or smoke or get into sexual activities then don’t go—stay away. Guard your eyes, your ears and your mouth. Control the things that your eyes see and your ears hear. And watch the things that come out of your mouth. Keep your words positive and pure.

Giving your life to the Lord will not be easy but in the end it will be worth it. There is coming a day when every knee will bow before God. In Romans 14:10-12 the Bible states, “…For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, ad every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” You will have to give an account to God to why you did not accept His calling or why you strayed away. When you are there, you can’t cast blame on no one else but yourself. It will be your fault if you don’t make it in. As a song writer stated, “It is no bodies fault but mines, if I should die and my soul shall be lost, it is no bodies fault but mine.” It is up to you to choose life or death. It is up to you to choose your master. It is up to you to walk away from the evil things of this world. What on earth is worth your soul going to hell? Are you really going to let a one night stand send you to hell or a bottle of beer or a pack of cigarettes or weed—cause you to end up in hell? Those things don’t do nothing but damage your physical and spiritual body. They give you this fake belief that it can help you but it doesn’t.

I remember one Sunday morning my cousin came to church to drop off his children and my dad went to his car and was encouraging him to come inside for the service. My cousin made all sorts of excuses; he said he wasn’t ready yet, he needed to get his life together first, he needs to get married first, he had too much issues in his life and he didn’t know if God can forgive him for all the bad things he have done. That day wasn’t the first time he refused. My family has been encouraging him to give his life over to the Lord for years. But he kept on giving the same excuse or lie that he was sick or had things to do on Sundays. But that day he thought it was going to be another Sunday when he would make up an excuse and his life would be the same. He droved off and went back to his house that afternoon and was murdered. He never lived to give his life to God. It was too late. When God was calling him that Sunday morning, that was the last call but he refused it because he thought death was far way from him. But it was right at his door when he got home.

None of us know when it will be our last day alive. This very entry that you are reading might be the last call that God is sending your way. Will you except it or reject it? Will you continue in your sin or turn to the Lord? The choice is yours today. If you don’t surrender to the Lord, your name will not be written in the book of Life and if your name is not written in that book you will spend eternity in hell. “And I saw the dead, small and great stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life….and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelations 20: 12-15)” There is no compromising or negotiation about it. If you surrender your life to God you will have eternal life with him in heaven. If not you will be cast into the lake of fire “hell.”

Will you accept God today? Will you accept this calling as if it is your last? Don’t worry about what others may say or think. Let them say what they want, they can’t save you. They themselves will have to give an account to God for why they didn’t accept Him.

Jesus said, here I stand, won't you please let me in
And you said I will, Tomorrow
Jesus said, I am He who supplies all your needs
And you said I know, but tomorrow.

Tomorrow, I'll give my life tomorrow,
I thought about today But it's so much easier to say.
Tomorrow, who promised you tomorrow?
Better choose the Lord today
For tomorrow very well might be too late.

Jesus said, Here I stand won't you please take my hand
And you said I will tomorrow
Jesus said I am He who supplies all your needs
And you said I know, but tomorrow

And who said, tomorrow will ever come for you?
Still you laugh and play and continue on to say…

Tomorrow, forget about tomorrow,
Won't you give your life today? Oh please.
Don't just turn and walk away!

Tomorrow, tomorrow is not promised.
Don't let this moment slip away.
Your tomorrow could very well begin today!
