As I sit here at my desk at work my mind begins to think about the youth weekend my church just had. The move of God was amazing. It was great to see young people from various churches come together to lift the name of the Lord up. It was interesting because that Friday while I was at work I read the book of James and all the preachers that went up quoted something from that book while they were preaching. It was such a great confirmation to my soul. I pray that the young people will continue to seek the Lord daily and to develop their relationship with him. It is not just at a youth weekend or when we have a guest speaker but we should continue to praise the Lord with all our heart daily.
I disciplined myself to take few minutes out at work during my break to read couple verses of the Bible and it is amazing the affect is has on my life. When there are so much work to be done in a short time, or when my manager is running around like a ‘headless chicken’ I can fine peace in his word. Reading the Bible helps to relax me, keep my mind focus on the Lord and to think positive. Yes, I might have a lot of work to accomplish and my manager might be demanding that it gets done at a certain time but with that inner peace I can just lean on the Lord and know that He will help me to get it done on time. I truly love the Lord. So if you are at work or at home and the day just don’t seem to be going the way you would like take a break and get into the Word. If you really want to see great results say a prayer after you finish reading. Take that time out to refocus your mind on the Lord. When you put the Lord first He will take care of everything else in your life.
This weekend I was a little sick in my body and I was so exhausted from packing and the things I have to do at work. There were times I am driving to church for service and my eyes were so heavy but I went to church anyway. I felt the heaviness in the early part of the service but later on let go of my tiredness and before I knew it I wasn’t tired anymore. The Lord removed that tiredness and replaced it with joy and excitement. We are humans and there may be days when we are over worked or extremely tired but when we take our mind of the tiredness and focus it on the Lord He will remove that tiredness from our body. This is something to keep in mind when you go to church service or even work this week.
Try these new tips and let me know if they worked for you. God bless each and every one of you.
