If you had one hour left to live, what would you do?

On Sunday in afternoon service the preacher asked the question, “If you had one hour left to live, what would you do?” Many people thought about the question, and realized that their last actions might help to determine where they will spend eternal life.

Many of us don’t think that our last hour can be now. Who told us that we have years left to live? In 1st Samuel 20:3 it states, “…but truly the Lord liveth, and as they soul liveth, there is but a step between me and the death.” We don’t know when it will be our last step that is why it is important for us to make sure we are living a life pleasing to the Lord at all times. I know that we make mistakes but we should repent as fast as we can to get that sin out of our lives and move back into the will of the Lord.

It will be ashamed if we spend all of our lives in church and trying to do the will of the Lord but the last hour we mess up and find ourselves in Hell. What an awful picture that will be. We don’t have time to take chances or to mess around. It might sound harsh but it is the truth.

So before you finish reading this entry ask yourself the question again---If I have one hour left to live, what would I do?
