Is there anything too hard for God?

I was driving to work this morning and listening to an Israel and New Breed CD. As Israel began to speak about the promises that God spoke to Abraham and the question that was asked “Is anything too hard for the Lord… (Genesis 18:14)” I began to think of all the times in my life when it seemed impossible and God worked it out. God has healed me, been my lawyer, been my teacher, been my provider, been my comforter, been my friend, been my protector; he has been everything to me. Hallelujah!

If you dare to claim that God hasn’t done anything for you, look at his creation. Look at the stars, how they stay in place. Look at the sun, moon, the mountains, the great views that he has created. He didn’t need any help from anyone, he did it all by himself. Without him there wouldn’t be anything created that was created, not even you. Jeremiah 32:17 states, “Ah Lord God, behold thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.”

God is able to do above and beyond all that we can ever ask of him! There is no sickness he cannot heal, no disease he cannot cure, or no situation he cannot bring you out of. Many times we underestimate God. We think he is limited as we are in power. Just because we cannot do it we believe he can’t do it either. But that is not true. God specializes in things that seems impossible to us. “And Jesus looking on them said, with men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God all things are possible (Mark 10:27).” Neither is God like men (human). “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9).”

He is an awesome God that is unchanging, eternal, unlimited in power, majesty, knowledge, wisdom, love, mercy, and holiness. There are times when we behave like the Israelites, who, even after seeing God display His power and love repeatedly, doubted both his love and power as they came face to face with each new trail in their lives. May God help us not to be like the Israelites but take each situation we go through to increase our faith in God and know that there is nothing too hard for him to do in our lives.

Think about it and God bless you!
