They that sow in Tears shall reap in Joy

Last night at church we had a great time in service. The preacher spoke about being passionate about others and weeping to God about them. It is very interesting that he spoke on that topic because I was thinking before I came to church about the members in my family that have backslidden from the Lord. I was thinking how sad it will be if they don’t return back to the Lord in time.

I am from a large family and all of us were raised in church. My parents always made sure we went to church and tried to show us the importance of serving the Lord. But many turned away from the Lord after they started running after their fleshly lust and the materialistic things of this world. It is ashamed that many people rather run after the temporal pleasures.

But last night when the preacher was preaching I began to cry inside because I know exactly what he was talking about. It was almost like he came there to speak a word for me. It hit hard! I began to think about my brothers, sisters, and other family members who have strayed away, and it hurts deep inside because I don’t want any of them to end up in hell. They are destroying themselves with things that only bring temporal pleasure. The devil has blinded their eyes and they just can’t see that what they are doing is wrong and they need to change from their wicked ways. No matter how much I speak with them or remind them of where they use to be in God, they just brush me off and continue in sin.

So last night it was almost like God telling me not to give up on praying for them because one day they might just come back to the Lord and all my weeping will bring joy. This brings comfort and hope. Thank you Jesus for your word.

Psalm 126:5-6
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bring his sleeves with him.”

Please share any testimonies you have of how the Lord answered your prayer of someone you have been praying for.

God bless.

  1. This is so true. I have been praying for months now for my husband to get right and I believe that God will answer my prayer in time.

    God bless
